Latest revelations on AIIMS CVO removal issue expose BJP lies.

The BJP’s mysterious silence on the latest revelations exposing union health minister Harsh Vardhan and party general secretary JP Nadda, have nailed all lies spread by the ruling party on the issue of whistleblower officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi.
The health minister resorted to repeated lies when he was caught off guard on the issue of removing Chaturvedi from the post of Chief Vigilance Officer of AIIMS.
The minister is now evading the issue and is silent along with his entire party, since the BJP’s attempts to trample the AIIMS autonomy through its naked political interference to protect a bureaucrat facing serious corruption charges, is now fully exposed.
The health minister misled the country when he had stated last month that Chaturvedi was shifted as AIIMS CVO since the Central Vigilance Commission had objected to his appointment.
It has now become clear that Harsh Vardhan’s claim was wrong and the CVC did not at any time object to the appointment. Importantly, however, he hid the fact that BJP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP, JP Nadda had written to him in June seeking Chaturvedi’s removal.
Nadda’s interference did not stop merely at seeking the removal of Chaturvedi from the post of CVO, it now transpires that he even suggested a name for his replacement.
The Aam Aadmi Party challenges health minister Harsh Vardhan and BJP to answer the following questions :
1) Can the health minister deny that he received a letter from BJP leader JP Nadda in June ?
2) Is it not a fact that Nadda demanded removal of Sanjeev Chaturvedi from the post of CVO AIIMS ?
3) Can Harsh Vardhan deny that Nadda wanted probes into corruption cases initiated by Chaturvedi dropped ?
4) Can the health minister deny that he received a reminder from Nadda in July stressing that the AIIMS CVO be changed ?
5) Can he deny that under pressure from the BJP his ministry initiated the process to remove Chaturvedi withing 24 hours in August ?
6) Why is Nadda shying away from revealing his interest in saving Mr Vineet Choudhary ?
7) What was Nadda’s locus in suggesting his choice as replacement of Chaturvedi ?
8) What is the BJP stand on its senior leader asking for probes in corruption cases to be scuttled ?
This episode involving Harsh Vardhan and Nadda has brought to the fore, the BJP’s direct compromise with corruption. The response of BJP on whether these two will continue in their positions is awaited. (ENDS)

Aam Aadmi Party and its volunteers are also making every effort possible to help Kashmiris in these difficult times. Dr Raja Muzaffer Bhat, eminent activist, columnist and AAP Loksabha Candidate from Srinagar and his entire team have been working relentlessly on relief and rescue work. So far, AAP Maharashtra has despatched monetary help as well as supplies. In the shortest possible period, with limited resources, our team put together a huge amount of essential supplies. We are greatly satisfied and proud of the fact that when our fellow countrymen needed us, AAP stepped up and took upon itself this enormous task. We thank the airlines which have agreed to carry relief material free of cost.
Here is a list of items that AAP Maharashtra has already sent:
– Funds to purchase packaged water

Volkswagen launches new Vento, 1.5 TDI Turbo-Diesel
25092014Volkswagen launches new Vento, 1.5 TDI Turbo-Diesel now available with 7-Speed DSG Automatic
- New Volkswagen Vento now available with all-new 1.5-litre TDI engines, with 7-Speed DSG Automatic transmission
- New features include dual front airbags on all variants, dual-beam headlamps, upgraded instrument panel, redesigned alloy wheels, footwell lights, and flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel
- New colours for the Vento line-up include Toffee Brown and Night Blue. New Vento available at selected Volkswagen showrooms across India from 24th September 2014 onwards, ex-showroom prices (Mumbai) start at Rs 7.44 lakh
Delhi, September 24, 2014: Volkswagen, Europe’s largest carmaker, announces the launch of the new Vento, one of the most refined, well-built, safe and technologically advanced sedans available in India. To suit a wide range of requirements and driving preference, the new Vento is available with a range of four-cylinder engines – 1.6 MPI, 1.2 TSI and 1.5 TDI powerplants, all of which offer an excellent blend of power, performance and fuel economy.
In response to popular demand for advanced, refined diesel automatics, the new Vento 1.5 TDI is now available with Volkswagen’s technologically advanced 7-Speed Dual-Clutch DSG automatic transmission, a feature that is unique in this segment. Volkswagen’s 7-Speed DSG has two clutches; Clutch 1 handles odd-numbered gears, Clutch 2 handles even-numbered gears plus reverse gear. As a result of this sophisticated clutch management, there are no gaps in propulsive power and power delivery remains uninterrupted. The “lag” that is sometimes associated with conventional automatics is non-existent with the DSG.
In addition to providing outstanding driving dynamics as explained above, Volkswagen’s 7-Speed DSG, with its perfectly timed and perfectly executed gearshifts, also helps with improving fuel economy and lowering emissions. With closely-spaced ratios, the new Vento’s DSG transmission makes the best possible use of Volkswagen’s 1.5 TDI and 1.2 TSI engines’ power delivery, and provides smooth, seamless acceleration at all speeds.

Other engines in the new Vento line-up are also similarly accomplished.
The 1.2 TSI engine produces 103 horsepower and 175Nm of torque, and delivers 16.93kpl in terms of fuel economy. The 1.6 MPI engine produces 103 horsepower and 153Nm of torque, and returns 15.04kpl.
Other changes on the new Vento include dual front airbags on all variants, redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels, and new, more powerful dual-beam headlamps.
